Ethos and Values

Every child who joins our school is invited to create a peg doll and place it on our Circle of Friends. This provides children with a sense of belonging within school but also encourages them to follow our 3 Golden Rules:

Be ready
Be kind
Be safe

As part of our school community we have a value each half term. The values are displayed as a jigsaw piece which forms a circle for the whole year and they help to prepare our children to be successful citizens in later life. Each half term our value is discussed in class and through assemblies using everyday contexts so that they can be applied at home and in school.

Our Wonderful World of Work week, held each year, introduces children to a range of professions and jobs which they may be interested in when they are grown up. We often invite parents and other family members to come into school to show us elements of their occupation.

It is our aim to make every child literate and numerate and develop their sense of belonging to their community as well as giving them the skills to be a life-long learner and a successful citizen.

We offer an engaging, exciting, broad and balanced curriculum which is delivered through exciting cross-curricular themes.
