Home Learning Overview for WB 22nd February

Welcome back everyone. We hope that you have had a lovely Half Term break relaxing, spending time with your family and getting some exercise. Hopefully you are looking forward to getting back into the routine of your Home Learning and having spoken to may of you, routine is very much the key to success.

For this first week back at school we are returning to our study of Fairy Tales. We are going to meet Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. We are going to look at Goldilocks’ choices in particular and decide whether they are right or wrong!

In Maths we are continuing to look at place value through comparing groups of objects and numbers to 50. A sound understanding of place value is absolutely key to success in numeracy.

In phonics some of you are continuing to learn your set 3 sounds, while others are revising set 3 sounds.

Here is the overview for the week ahead

Week 7 Overview

Feel free to contact Miss Goddard or myself if you have any queries and don’t forget to keep sending in your work to build up your portfolios. We are loving seeing your amazing efforts across the curriculum.

Take care

Mrs Bowen

Home Learning Overview for W/B 1st February

An overview of the week to help you plan your time.

There are 3 Purple Mash tasks this week as we look at real houses a bit more, rather than those of the 3 Little Pigs. Hopefully you will be able to go on a walk nearby to look at the variety in housing.

Maths focuses on fact families this week and comparing number sentences using <, > and =. Here is an example of a fact family:

3+5=8   5+3=8

8-3=5    8-5=3

As always work within 10 or 20 and if printing please check and select the pages you require before pressing the button. Printing is not necessary as all models are easy to draw.
